A nice spin on the traditional rope strap. Hand spliced and hand whipped for ultimate security and strength. Utilizing a new 9mm diameter construction of nylon and high tenacity polyester, these shoulder straps are very comfortable, soft, durable and abrasion resistant. I've been hard at work with the factory to modify the rope used for the Regatta straps, and I'm really excited with the modifications. Both the cover and the core's braiding angle has been altered to allow for added dynamic movement making the strap even more comfortable while supporting more weight than before. The suppleness of the new combination of materials is also more malleable to avoid kinking. The smooth and pliable outer cover glides softly over fabric and is easy on bare skin with its silky finish.
Fixing to the camera by way of two quick release, spring clips and heavy duty 9/16" (15mm) split rings, you can easily switch between this and other QR straps, or handy when wanting to easily remove the strap when on a tripod, in a bag, or the like. This rope is designed for use in high performance, open ocean regatta sailing and I've worked to alter the design of the rope itself to better suit carrying a camera around marrying fashion, comfort and function.
Each Regatta strap includes two 15mm split rings and two rubber O rings to attach to your camera's lugs and help to keep the ring and clip from rubbing the camera body while wearing. The Regatta Strap measures 46" (non adjustable) from tip of clip to clip, and depending on camera should hang about 13-15" from the bottom of your chin.
